She had brilliant academic career during her post graduation. It is often quoted that we can learn Obtetrics by just walking thru the corridors of IOG, where doyens and stalwarts and emeritus Professors of OBS & Gyn. like Sir AL Mudaliar, Dr.Krishna Menon & Dr. Bhaskara rao have worked. Hence after completing her MD course in 2008, Dr.Mythily chose to work in IOG and worked there as an Asst. Prof. from 2008 till 2011.
In this period, she has received intense training in handling high risk pregnancies and treated several thousands of high risk patients like severe preeclampsia ( seizures due to high BP in pregnancy ) HELLP syndrome, ( bleeding disorder due to high BP in pregnancy ) , obstetric cholestasis, heart disease like valvular heart disease, takayasu's disease and pulmonary hypertension. Also she has performed thousands of high risk caesarians sections including LSCS for HELLP syndrome, Abruptio placenta,Placenta praevia, Idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura ( bleeding diathesis ) ,portal hypertension etc.
She says that she is blessed to have the opportunity of working under the guidance of Prof.V. Madhini, Prof. Dr.Radhabai Prabhu MD FRCOG, Prof. Dr Latha Jawahar and Prof. Dr. Anjalakshi MD, Phd. In this era of high risk pregnancy, lack of training in high risk obstetrics very much poses a health hazard to women & children. But Dr. Mythily is well versed in treating high risk pregnant patients with ease, thanks to her training in IOG, which is the referral centre for high risk pregnancies and obstetric emergencies. She has also undergone Obstetric & Gynaec Ultrasound training as ultrasound has always been considered as sixth finger of an obstetrician. She has also undergone intrauterine insemination workshop training and colposcopy (cervical cancer screening) workshop training. His long cherished dream of building an exclusive hospital for women and children has come to reality today after all obstacles.
We strongly believe that healthcare provided by corporate hospitals can never be equated to a hospital founded by doctors themselves since only doctors can empathise with patients, understand their needs and are aware of the facilities and requirements and hence we hope to give to the society a exclusive hospital for women& child health under the care of expert and experienced doctors with empathy. Also we sincerely thank Senior Principal Ajeeth Prasath Jain of BRV, without whose immense support this project would not have been a reality today.
